Metanoia's
Financial Literacy Class Graduates over 140 graduates.
On June 24th at 6pm Metanoia will graduate over 140
people in our current financial literacy class being offered in
partnership with the Charleston Area Community Development Corporation. CACDC Executive Director Lenore McKenna has been teaching the class and
mentoring our own Anthony Joyner in the work of homebuyer counseling.
And he has become a certified homebuyer counselor in the last few
months.
The current class of graduates has gone through 17 weeks
of coursework in budgeting, credit counseling and homebuyer education.
Graduates will continue to receive one on one counseling from Tony and
Lenore in the weeks to come. This more extensive class is being
offered to compliment a daylong homebuyer education class we
occasionally host in our neighborhood in partnership with the Charleston
Homeownership Resource Center. We have already begun registering
participants for our fall financial literacy class which will occur
Thursdays beginning in August. We want to thank Lenore and
Charleston Area CDC for making this class so accessible for our
community.
